Classes and programs at the Downtown Concord library

1.       Introduction to Microsoft Word will take place on Monday, May 18 @ 6pm in the Meeting Room of the Concord Library. This class will cover the basics of word processing: creating & enhancing documents. This class requires basic computer skills. Spaces limited & registration required; call 704.920.2054 to register.

2.       Basic Computers will be offered on Tuesday, May 19 @ 10am in the Meeting Room of the Concord Library.Feeling lost when it comes to computers? We will discuss the parts of a computer, practice mouse skills, learn about programs, and create documents and more! This is a class for those with very little or no experience with computers. Spaces are limited & registration is required, please call 704.920.2054.

3.       Genealogy 101 will be offered on Wednesday, May 20 @ 6pm in the Auditorium of the Concord Library. Interested in learning about your family roots but don’t know where to start? Topics covered include preparing a research plan, learning what resources are available, how to use them & tips for organizing your findings. 5.       A program on Veterans Benefits will take place on Thursday, May 21 @ 6:30pm in the Auditorium of the Concord Library. Nan Allison, Paralegal Advocate for Legal Services of Southern Piedmont, will describe civil legal matters that relate to the veteran’s military service and other civil legal matters. Free and open to the public; for more information, call the Information Desk @ 704.920.2054.

Red, White and Tuna at Old Courthouse Theater

“Red, White and Tuna” by Ed Howard, Jaston Williams, and Joe Sears will be performed at the Old Courthouse Theater in Concord beginning Thursday. It is directed by Craig Spradley and stars Nick Asa & Scott Stanton. Note this is a PG type show.
